worldnumis Pillar of the Community United States 731 Posts	Posted 09/30/2016 5:29 pm This is a somewhat scarce item from my world gold collection. IMO I believe it is at least AU or better. What do others think and what is the value? KM/NGC prices seem a bit low to auction prices I have seen. What are your opinions? Report this Post to the Staff

For what I can see on the picture (too bad it's blurry), this coin is 01 Norwegian or AU in 'Murcan scales. There is just one year, 1910, and there are just a few thousand of these pieces made (about 50.000 if I remember correctly) and these don't hit the market too often. Prices for this coin can easily be a few thousand dollars: I wouldn't be surprised if you can find a Norwegian who is willing to pay $2500 for this one. Maybe even more. Report this Post to the Staff

I am sure the prices you estimated were a lot higher than what they would sell for here in the U.S. I am almost tempted to place them on ebay, but I'll just keep them in my collection for now. Which isn't a bad thing, I guess. If you ever decide to sell this coin, then let me know and I'm sure that we can work something out. If you're fast, then here's a link to the more 'common' 10 NOK in gold (with Oscar II instead of Haakon VII), just for the idea.
