A 1979-Lincoln cent....If PSD...any ideas what they would use to make such a narrow clean cut?

It was most likely done with a small blade scroll saw or a jeweler's saw.

In the '70's and '80's I would have a Booth at local Art's & Craft's Shows selling Custom made Pine & Mirror Woodworking items that required a Electric Coping Saw for intricate cuts..

I only mention this as the reverse side of this Cent displays a rough edge that a Coping Saw Blade would make..

The coin probably got hot and burned his/her finger and then stopped.
