Would this be considered as such..? It doesn't look as obvious if it is that, as others much more clearly showing the small H under the large one...

Is there a book out there or Charlton catalog that has uncommon varieties with drawings to study...or a web page that I can reference..?

Is the apparent doubling I am seeing on the H because of worn dies ? I remember reading that this can be mistaken for doubling...

The 1902 Large/Small H is in the front pages of the Charlton so you can see pictures of this variety with any new Charlton catalogue. If 5 cent varieties is what you like then the 2010 Charlton is what you need. They have over a hundred listed varieties in the back pages.
