I've bid on two other pieces over the years, but unsuccessfully.

Well I'm glad you won this one, because 1473 is one of the years that I don't have. I can continue to help move this thread back starting tomorrow.

can you recommend any coin dealers
who might handle Early Dated coins. Thanks

I agree with what @tdziemia has written; Elsen in Brussels regularly auctions coins from this period; the Künker auction of this summer was exceptional (Genaert collection)

These pieces from Deventer usually don't come very nice.

Here is a Stuiver from the Netherlands city of Deventer dated 1472 AD. It is attributed as Levinson III-58. It is a brother (similarly weak) to yours @louie.

I thought I had 2 for 1470,but I will actually have 3. They will all be variants of the same coin and since Hungarian Denars weren't dated until 1503,they will be undated.

Bought this from Karl Stephens 15+ years ago. He usually has several ED's in stock. The quality of his
show inventory is amazing.

Here is a second Levinson IV-24 (also attributed as Szego 2L51):

Normally,I would wait until a dated one is posted but I work a double shift starting at 3PM.

These are three varieties of 1470 Hungarian Denars under Matthias Corvinus with an n-hammers mint mark;Huszar 717,Unger 562m,Pohl 216-13.

1. This is the "normal" most common with points in the legend.

2. This one has circles in the legend.

3. This one the Madonna is not wearing a stole.

And here is another Levinson IV-21 (Szego 2L51), also with areas of weakness.
