Does anyone know how much this coin would go for, if it was for sale? I heard that it was worth a lot more than what is face value is?

39,756,000 of these coins were minted, according to NGC price guide. The coin has a very low value to start, plus yours is damaged.

Sorry to say my idea is that it is worth about nothing. Just a damaged copper piece often found in junk boxes. I would find a person that makes elongated coins because that can be a popular piece some makers can use. Don't expect anyone to buy it though.

This coin isn't worth much, even in high grades. I would say yours is worth about a dime.

That is worth maybe 5 cents.
