1994 D Quarter Rimmed Edge? - Coin Community Forum

gersey New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 02/26/2017 7:27 pm Let me start off with I have no idea what I am talking about so rimmed edge might not be the best way to describe this quarter. While putting some change in my coin jar I came across a quarter that first got my attention because it sounded different when it hit the table kinda like a old sliver quarter sounds. After looking at it I thought it kinda looked counterfeit like two quarter pressed together but how many people counterfeit quarters so I'm posting hoping someone with a bit more knowledge then myself might be able able to tell me more about my new conversation piece. More information here: http://goccf.com/t/80773 I think the acid -- whatever kind it was -- would damage the copper portion of the coin faster than the nickel layers. Report this Post to the Staff
