1924 Peace Dollar - Fake/Counterfeit Or Strange VAM?

Some elements that are usually strong (those near the rim, as you point out) are weak, while elements that are usually weak (the lettering on the reverse, and the hair near the center of the obverse) are stronger than on most examples I've seen. Plus the surface texture on both sides just looks wrong, as you note. I'm going with "fake". Report this Post to the Staff
