I recently was given about a dozen old banknotes that had been my grandfathers. All but one appear to be form occupied countries during ww2. I will post a couple at a time. I don't know anything at all about paper currency so any and all comments and info greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The banknotes are from Algeria

The 1st note is either P84 or P87. P84 has a watermark of a woman's head and P87 has a watermark of Banque De L'Algerie. Value is around $1.25 in VG and $10 in VF

The 2nd note is P77 and valued at $0.50 in VG and $2 in VF

The 3rd note is P91 and is valued at $0.25 in VG and $1.50 in VF

Thanks I guess the next question is how do you grade banknotes? I'm figuring these would not grade very high.

You can use this sites information as a reference about grading. It will give you some basic knowledge about how notes are graded. Each person grades different, so it is subjective.
