There are a lot of colonies and territories with coins. The coins tell an interesting story, about the time and place they come from. I don't have the strongest grasp of history but coins have really bolstered that. Garoyn Pillar of the Community United States 513 Posts	Posted 05/01/2017 1:40 pm Welcome! One of the coolest places I learned about while doing French language coins is Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It's a French collectivity off the coast of Newfoundland. It's in North America, surrounded by Canada, and just a few miles from Maine. It's the closest place to the United States where the Euro is official currency, has French national gendarmerie, and is governed by France.
