Paul! Congrats on the Eichbaum overdate! Too bad it came back cleaned - but still, an awesome discovery.
As for your Brunswick 1 1/2 thaler... I am honestly speechless. I mean this is great for you as you just got a nice upgrade from PCGS, but it really doesn't speak very highly of PCGS's knowledge on world coins. They identified it as LSV570 when it is LS71 and it clearly shows they didn't even weigh the coin?!?!?!?! How can you authenticate a coin without even weighing it? Mind boggling.

Thanks guys!Cableguy I was a bit shocked too since I submitted the coins myself and mentioned that it was a 1-1/2 piece! On top of this,PCGS seem to have the bad habit of not answering emails!Coming back to the coin,I'm thinking about selling it,with the correct description obviously, because I'm aiming to get myself a thick 2 th or a rare piece that costs a bit more than what I usually pay.

Paul, you should send that thaler to NGC instead.

mkman123 It's very unlikely to do it because I've already paid quite a lot for the grading/posting/membership with PCGS,to be more precise, about half of what I've paid for the two coins! The main reason for picking them was a suggestion to have a 1809 half dollar sent for a variety attribution, process that's going to take about 6-8 weeks according to their staff(London-Paris-USA and return).
