Here's a companion piece to the 1934 Maryland 300th Anniversary commemorative half dollar.

Baltimore-based artist/sculptor Hans Schuler was responsible for the coin as well as the official medal.

The obverse of the medal features a portrait of Albert C. Ritchie, the Maryland Governor at the time of the tercentenary, along with the Maryland coat-of-arms. The reverse depicts the landing of Leonard Calvert in the new colony; he is seen holding the colonial proclamation prepared by his brother Cecil Calvert, the 2nd Lord Baltimore, who held the Royal Land Grant and Charter for the Maryland colony. Also depicted are fellow colonists Captain Thomas Cornwallis and Reverend Andrew White (to Calvert's right) along with a standard-bearer and Native American (to Calvert's left). In the background can be seen the Ark, one of the two ships that brought the colonists to America (the other was the Dove).

So-called Half Dollar Set No. 3

(in Capital Plastics type holder)
A-Continuing-Thread-~-Post-Your-Tokens,-Medals,-Exonumia-Acquisitions
This is my third complete set of 4 so-called half dollars that were minted in 1948 for collectors by Charles Smith of Boston Massachusetts. These are far less encountered than the 8 medals in the set of 1947.
I bought these all at once in this holder which I have never seen before.
It might be the only exception where I broke the rule, and bought the holder and not the coin.

My buying medals has come to a crawl since pg. 200 but sometimes I had to give in for good reason.
They were not titled as 1948 c.smith and I got an awesome deal because people did not find this gem with the usual search terms. I just stumbled across it. I bid again with seconds left to up my opening bid and to my surprise I was the only one who found it and won with the opening bid of $48.48.

Here's a link to my c.smith and related medal collection. http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...=2033&page=1

This seems to be a rather scarce token from the 1904 St Louis World's fair I found in a recent lot. I know it's h-61-690 but I cannot find any sales records. Anyone have any thoughts on value?

Maybe a variation of the expression: "I'm from Missouri, you've got to show me."
A slogan used by Democrat Willard Duncan Vandiver.
It is a braying mule. It is a Democrat symbol and this half dollar sized medal is probably relating to the states the state's famous nickname: "The Show Me State".
He was a delegate to the Democratic State conventions in 1896, 1898, 1918, and 1920 and served as chairman in 1918. Vandiver was elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-fifth United States Congress in 1896, and was re-elected three times. He was not a candidate for re-nomination in 1904. Vandiver served as chairman of the State executive committee in 1904.
It could also be a political themed medal for Joseph "Holy Joe" Wingate Folk of St Louis Missouri who was elected the 31st Governor of Missouri as a progressive reformer and Democrat in the 1904 election.

I have seen only a couple of these that I recall. I think you are quite correct in it being a scarce medal.
