bd251 Pillar of the Community United States 1844 Posts	Posted 07/14/2024 6:43 pm Nurnberg-Furth 200 pfennig railroad token 1921 I have several of the Nurnberg-Furth streetcar tokens, and really enjoy their detailed designs, especially those featuring buildings. This similar series of three aluminum tokens (100p, 150p, and 200p) commemorates Ludwig's Railroad, the first railroad in Germany. I'm not sure if its due to a bad strike or worn dies, but I think the details are a bit fuzzier than the streetcar tokens I have. Report this Post to the Staff

joewobblie Valued Member United States 238 Posts	Posted 07/15/2024 10:50 am Picked up this Masonic Penny which I found interesting because it comes from a very small town (currently) in Southern West Virginia (a few hours from where I live) but was probably much larger back in the coal mining heydays. I've never been sure how to relate the Chartered date of these pieces to the date the piece was created - perhaps that just can't be determined. Report this Post to the Staff

The tokens with the charter date would be minted afterwards.
