Strange Nickel Sized 1987 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC

ChangeFinds1997 Valued Member United States 85 Posts	Posted 01/06/2018 01:28 am A very strange cent I dug from the ground a few years ago has bazzled me for years. I took it to several dealers and they have no idea what it is and think its possibly play money of some sort. Its exactly the same size as a nickel and it has a pourous appearance to it like it may have been heated up. I don't think it was flattened as the coin's details aren't stretched out in anyway and looks like it was a normal cent. It appears zinc or some sort of cheap metal but I have no idea. It weights 2.49g on the scale but I seen a similar cent on another site and its called a Texas Cent which is created by putting a cent between two pieces of leather and using a mallet.
