Question About 1960-D Lincoln Variety

pendrak Valued Member United States 253 Posts	Posted 01/24/2018 11:50 am Hey Guys- I found this Lincoln in change yesterday. I always take a closer look at 1960s because of all the different types. Some are worth a bit of money. This one has a filled or Cud 9 in the date plus a few other things like the B and R in liberty. Is this one of the documented types? No, they are NOT valued more because of a common machining error...if it was, I'd be really rich by now with all the BU rolls of 60Ds I have or had over the years...still poor BTW, the below "errors" may be "neat and cool" but sure won't put bread on the table! A variety happens at the time a die is created. Doubled dies, RPMs, Over mint marks (20th century mostly, Over dates (18-19th century coins mostly) Die wear isn't created on dies when they are made.
