Very nice, daltonista! I have the imitation of your Wellington halfpenny: Canada Half Penny 1815: Britannia and Eagle
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Of the two dozen or so proof and proof-like tokens in my collection, only two show any cameo effects, and this is the more striking of those. It's a halfpenny issued in 1812 by Picard's Hull Lead Works. The Latin legend -- "Esse Quam Videri" -- originated in a 44 BC essay on friendship by Cicero and also became the motto of the state of North Carolina in the USA. A loose translation would be the aspirational and inspirational, "Be rather than seem."Hull, Yorkshire, Withers 781a, RRR, ex-Cokayne.
"If everything seems to be under control, you're just not going fast enough." --- Mario Andretti
