I've been enjoying my new currency book and discovered there are 7 major variations on the $10 bill just with the two issue dates of 1934 and 1928. There's the 2 emergency war notes of 1934: the North Africa with the yellow seal and the Hawaii with the bronze seal. Then, there's the plain silver certificate of 1934 with a blue seal and a 10 in blue. Rounding out the 1934s is a light green seal FRN. None of these are expensive and, I think, they're all attractive. For 1928, there's two FRNs, one has the district bank as a letter and the other as a number. Lastly, there's a $10 gold certificate of 1928. It's a little rarer but still not that much in circulated. It has a yellow seal on the left. There are various letter combos, which I didn't mention, so as not to get too technical all at once. The small-sized $10s, up to 1995, share the same back, that iconic pic of the treasury building, and all use the same portrait of Hamilton.      |

And add to that the stars!
The $10s are very collectible, with the exception of the Series 1933 SC.

So, how did I solve my quandary of which $10 to get first? I went and bought a $20! Just won it a few minutes ago on the Bay. Surprised the heck out of me. After waiting 5 days for the auction, I won it for just $2.50 over minimum bid. It's a 1934A Hawaii $20.

I don't see the 3 series 1929 Brown Seal National Currency $10 Notes, the type 1 & 2 National Bank Notes & Brown Seal Federal Reserve Notes.
