Well, if the doctor is right, then Mr. K is in for a win (assuming correct eye colour). Thanks for the contest, Mayflower, and I too want to wish you and yours a healthy and memorable delivery! So, what's the prize? (I had to ask )

Quote: The baby's due date is May 10th but who knows if he will decided to come early or late... Yep, I wouldn't rely too much on that. When I was born, I held on for 17 days after the due date, and even then I didn't come out the traditional way. I guess now it's just the waiting game. Best of luck to you and your family, and I hope for a safe delivery!

The winner will receive a one ounce silver bar from silver shield to save for the future, and two rolls of p&d westward journey Buffalo nickels to remember the past. And because he will make his own choices in life, one represents government, while the other represents free speech and rebellion. Thought I would have a little fun with it but are also things that I like in my collection. Best of luck everyone.

OK guys, I was going to wait until after te contest was over, but I got to thinking that after the event, people will not be checking here anymore. So here is my idea. Why don't we who can, and who have been enjoying this contest make sure Mayflower Jr. get's a great start in the numismatic hobby? I know we ALL would like to help, but realistically all of us know not everyone is able to contribute...its the thought that counts. I suggest we each paypal Mayflower Sr. and his wife 5.00 to which they specifically will spend on: 1. A 2018 proof ASE2. A 2018 Silver proof set. I count 44 entrants. It would only take about 8 of us to make sure the new little one gets a proof 2018 for his birthday. BTW - I did see the birth year set and thought it nice, but the ASE will always hold value, I wish they had a silver birth year set. If we get 75% who are able to give, that would be 165.00 which would cover options 1 and 2 above. The CCF family has gotten together like this before...so let's welcome our new little member in a way that will give his parents a story to tell him about when he is old enough. For those who don't know how: Click on Mayflower2020 above to go to his contact page. Send an email asking for his email address so you will have his address to tell paypal where to send the gift. When you are at paypal and go to send the money, make sure to find the "gift" option or paypal will keep some of the money you send. I am sending Mayflower an email as soon as I post this.

Earle42, thank you so much for your kind words. This completely caught me off guard and is so nice. I am sure that when he is older he will be as honored as I am to know that his first coins came from kind hearted strangers who also have as much of a passion for the hobby as I do. There is no pressure for anyone to feel that they have to donate as that wasn't the intent of this contest, but the gesture alone just made my day. This community constantly out does itself with kindness and generosity. There is no other place on the internet where I have seen so many different people from different areas get along so well, teach each other, express opinions and not have arguments, or petty passive aggressive disagreements that is so common throughout the internet.
This made my day and my wife says thank you as well!

You are very welcome. I know I speak for all of us when I say it gives us joy to be able to actually be able to feel like we are able to participate, if even just a tiny bit, in this exciting time for your family.
