Where To Send Canada Error Coins For Grading

coinguy444 New Member Canada 10 Posts	Posted 05/07/2018 5:46 pm Was wondering were is the best place to send Canada error coins too for grading? Errors such as brokerage, off center, varieties, oddidites etc. Just looking for some opinions. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

johnnysprawl Pillar of the Community Canada 1624 Posts	Posted 05/07/2018 6:11 pm CCCS (Canadian Coin Certification Service) is your best bet. http://www.canadiancoincertificatio...m/index4.php ICCS (International Coin Certification Service) generally doesn't certify error coins, although they do acknowledge some errors such as planchet flaws and rotated dies. Unless the value (what you can actually sell it for), is more than $100-150, the cost to certify eats up a huge percentage of what you could ever sell it for. For many errors and oddities, the cost of the certification may actually cost you more than the coin would ever be worth. If you know what you are doing and research/study thoroughly, you may vary well know more about the coin and its grade than a third person's opinion on a piece light cardboard..
