The varieties are not attributed on the holders, but that really did not matter to me. These were ones I had hunted out and included in the 70th edition Charlton Catalogue with the small cent variety section at the back.

Here is the 1964 Doubled Bud (or Extra Bud), for those not familiar with this one. It is a reverse hub doubled die found on a few dates in the small cent series, best described by Ken Potter for 1965.

This is the 1964 Extra Spine, which also occurs on coins through to the 1970s. This is probably a weak point in the design for the reverse die, which produces a crack. I have never seen longer ones, or extended cracks, though...

It is a popular "variety", even though it is not a true variety, per se...
