If it helps, they are probably worth more than Australian 50 cent pieces and strange given they are round. Here they are worth 50 cents each, over there probably a $1 or more.

1949 is Cupronickel and yours is standard fine condition.
1967 is the first year of the 50cents and also in fine condition.

Found my first 2021 Indigenous Military Service and only my third ever 2017 rosemary Remembrance $2 coins today.

People fill them themselves and take them to the bank where the teller just weighs them. Seems if they are a few coins short they just chuck in any old coins that weigh approximately the same as the denomination of Aussie coin they are making the bag up for.

MachinMachinMan - When we had the circular brass £1 coins in the UK, I once found a New Zealand dollar coin in a £20 bag of pound coins.
