Steve, is that the '73 proof? It looks proofish. I have the '73 and '74 proof sets but have never seen the 'Special Uncirculated' or 'Matte' sets.

Quote: I just pulled this British Virgin Islands 10c from a bunch of world coins. Quote: Just a shame it's in such terrible condition. I have the 1973 version. Very nice!

Gunky but still nice find You don't see many in circulation these days. That's one of those "newspaper coins" that were available for $3 from the newsagent with the voucher from the major paper in your state (Courier Mail here in Queensland). There were 4 different series from 2015-2018. Of course alot were bought by people who don't really care about coins and ended up in circulation.

Haven't updated for a while so I might as well do a list
- Completed the entire 2021 alphabet coins. Still missing a letter in the 2019 alphabet coins. - Both 2020 MOR and Qantas. Both are in less than desirable condition but let's see... - Entire Wiggles $2 - Tokyo Olympics $2 set - Indigenous $2
I'm sure the Aboriginal flag $2 will come up some day.

Found a proof dollar coin in circulation. This must be what is known as an "impaired proof"

Grabbed a $500 bag of dollar coins the other day. Lots of coin hunt letters. Was a bit surprised to get 6 of the first coin hunt letters, and in good condition. I got loads more commemoratives but I only keep the NCLT and shiny LCT specimens.

Nice group David and love that Proof 3M (Can I call you that, its so much quicker ) Meanwhile my 1931 Florin problem has been taken care of. Everytime one of these fairly common coins came up, I missed out on it and it sold at a crazy price. I got this for just $50 in "keewee" dollars. The seller described it as AU and its a hazy photo. I doubt its that nice, but its at LEAST a high VF and may even be a full EF as the 2 pearls next to the diamond are sharp and the robe on His Majesty shows little to no wear. Its better than my best early Florin (The gVF 1934 coin), so I still think this is a decent coin in every sense of the word. I will take a better photo when it arrives and put it on my Aussie Florin thread. Happy Bridge anniversary day guys.
