Looks like it might be a broken die to me, but I'm a newbie and have an amazing knack at being wrong about these things. What do you think?

On the wheat there is a high and bright (polished by extra wear) lump. I tried to show it by holding the coin at an angle to show the height of the lump, but it wasn't easy to show.

Not a broken Die (That would be called a Major Die Break/Cud since it involves a broken off piece from the die). This is a Die Chip. http://www.error-ref.com/die-chips/
