With additional research ... Ferdinand was dead by 1659 which tends to rule out that date as well. A web search turns up this type as minted in Glatz (Silesia), 1637-40. Is that how you have it attributed? Yet another place in central Europe I've never heard of  Edited by tdziemia

Ok thx for the confirmation that yesterday's coin is a 1639--that was what I purchased it as being about 10 years ago. For today, I have a 2 Kreuzer of the German City State of Hanau-Munzberg dated AD 1638:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
