On ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-S-Roo...AOSwnTdZ~uVn &_nkw=1968+s+mint+mark+dime &rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313

Based on the way the dime looks, is it a good deal?
There were 3,041,000 minted. This is the first year with the S mint mark intended for collectors.

I know it is only $2.00, but I don't want to pay $2.00 for something that is only worth .10 cents

Remember, this is no doubt a generic picture.

Remember that the photo is a stock photo, the coin you receive will likely look significantly worse than the photos.

As for whether its a good deal or not, all I can say is "eh"

Its certainly not something you're going to make crazy amounts of money from within even 50 years, but what can you really expect for 2 bucks shipped.

I can tell you that you could probably buy the same coin from a dealer for anywhere between $.50-$1, and they'd probably pay around $.20-$.30 for it.

Local coin shops and shows will have bunches of this type of material for considerably less.

You really can't go wrong for $2 considering most of it is just the shipping cost built in. Could you get it at a coin shop for a dollar cheaper if they have one yes you very likely could, but you will also probably spend 3 dollars or more in gas going to the shop if you're going just for that
Rest in Peace

You can get the entire 68-S proof set with the OGP for around 8-10 dollars. The Kennedy half in the set is 40% silver

Good point, that answers the question. Pass, Nonna, and buy the original set for a few bucks more.

Get the full '68 proof set and avoid listings that use stock photos (with few exceptions). I have never purchased from that seller, so I don't know how well they represent their actual coins.

I would say that it's kind of a "flop", plus the coin can look a lot different in hand if stock photos are used on ebay listings. I would just get a 1968 S Proof set and take a pass on this coin.

31 sold already for that price and no postage. For $2, not to much to loose.
