Nice set of baby boots SilverDon.

I have to ask, are you, or anyone else, happy with the finish on the coins in these sets these days? They have such an orange peel effect going it is ugly. I'll get pics up later. They should get their own grading letters, UNCG, uncirculated garbage. The lower the score, the better! Circulated coins are nicer! I'm wondering if it is intentional. They don't strike to many of these loonies, yet the loons have the same finish. Comments please.

Alan, hope you are right. Couldn't they make it clearer though? I pulled the folder out of the sleeve, and the obverse shows the same. Now, I'm thinking your way. Only one way to find out. Where are my scissors?

You were right Alan, I broke out the loon and it is gorgeous in a 2X2. Looked at the plastic holding it, and bingo, there are the dimples. So, even though they look like crap, they still are nice. What will the RCM come up with next. Heaven knows. Sorry about the UNCG. LOL.

C'mon silverwolf.....like the mint would listen to a loonie like me. That made me, pardon the pun wolf, howl with laughter.

Note that in those sets, both the loon and $2 coins are also lacquered...

Did not know that SPP. Thanks. Wonder why, when they are meant to be sealed forever in the set.
