Thanks - it comes from between mid to late 1st century BC and this is of the Boudicca's tribe (Iceni). Other than that I do not know much about it but a great piece of history...

Today's Arrival. One might notice a slight trend in my coin buying habits. Not that I have an obsession or anything.

The three-piece series (500.000; 750.000; 1.000.000) has been completed. Thank you!

Yep, I like 'em, too. This is my second 1875S, and, while not in the best of shape, it's a step upward from the AG-3 one it replaces. A short-lived series with just a little over 1,350,000 total mintage (both business and proof - 2008 RedBook) it makes for an interesting series. To be truthful with you, up until a few years ago when I became involved with coin collecting, I wasn't even aware that the U.S. had ever issued a Twenty Cents coin (or a 2 cents coin or a 3 cents coin) - I would venture to say that that would hold true with the majority of non-collectors today. At the LI show yesterday, I managed to pick up a few more Barber half dollars, including: 1910 P G-6, 1914 P VG-8; 1915 P VG-8. Just to add to my little hoard. And an 1822 Bust 1/2, O-101 (R-1) in Fine Forgot: also rescued two 1893 Columbian Expo $1/2 from the melting pot. ONe VF-XF the other XF+ with two small rims dings, but at silver (10X) face I couldn't let them die.

I got this one from the foreign coin box at my hobby shop/coin dealer. It had some gunk on the one side(side with the date), so she let me have it for 5¢. I rinsed it with some reverse osmosis filtered water and most if it dissolved and washed off. There is still a litle stuck on, I have no idea what it is. A question. With U.K./Commonwealth coins, which side is the obverse?

As far as I know the profile of the monarch is typically the obverse.

I just recently (3 weeks) got a 1931-S Lincoln Cent and even more recently (4 days) got the 1915-S I've been searching for. And today, I picked up two Seated Liberty quarters for $8. Nothing special, I just like them.

Just got this old thing for my circulated type album. She ain't no looker - plenty of wear, spotted on the obverse, and a big ol' scratch on the reverse, but I like 'er just fine. Ralph
