Bishopric of Salzburg - Austrian States
1759 2 Kreuzer. Sigismund von Schrattenbach
Billon, 17mm, 1.1 grams; die axis 180 (coin turn)

3 year type. About Uncirculated with some luster and a neat "stripe" toning/alloy composition effect. The uneven strike and ragged flan are normal and as-minted/original to the coin.

Obverse: Cartouche with denomination ( 2 ), the date digits of 1, 7, 5, and 9 quarterly surrounding; SALZBURGER . LANDMINZ . with the A in LANDMINZ repunched over another letter, possibly a "D?"

Reverse: Bifurcated arms of Salzburg and Austria in a baroque braced and framed cartouche.

Ref: KM 389; H. Zöttl 3085. Scarce in higher grades such as this one.

Arrows and rays - one of my favorite designs for the era. These look nice.
