Thanks, Eagles Here's this week's loot. Or rather, a part of it. Those 2x2s at the bottom aren't empty Yes I know about the photo quality But then, if you can identify more than 4 coins in such photo, it means you're an expert

Thanks jbuck! It's a good coin to have! Quote: Anyway, how often do you find 120-year old coins on the sidewalk?

Very cool find! Usually they are 40's and 50's.

I thought I did fairly well today when I bought two PCGS graded War Nickels in one "make an offer" auction that lasted less than an hour. A 1942 S in MS-64 and a 1945 S in MS-65. This pair will arrive for a better picture in my gallery in the next week. Cost me less than $29.00 includes the shipping too. If they are as good as I hope, maybe I got a great deal on the coins but the cost of getting them graded was practically free. Image:

Bought these..

..and got this as a bonus (this is a half penny, key date 1898, worth a full dollar in Fine )

Now I'm seriously thinking of collecting the most worn coins I can find

Nabbed a couple on the auction site tonight. Two tough Jeffersons to find any step detail on reverse. The 1953 S is nicer in condition than I expected. It has a three plus steps. Then the 1952 S with more than 5 steps! A rarity and it too is nicer than the images I have here now. 1952 S 1953 S

Nice coin up there, Looks like numbers 619 in the center of the top image? What is that coin anyway? I'd guess that it was Turkish? Just got this ... another 50 D but the price was a throwback so I couldn't resist.

The latest addition to my collection. Down to four or five of these a year now in this kind of grade.

Nice Two Cent Piece, If you are down to 5 per year maybe it's because you have the rest that look as good that were still out there! Beautiful Toning on the Peace dollars and Commemorative Lexington Concord. I'm a fan! Waiting on this one to arrive 1 of the top ten Jefferson Varieties 1955 Proof TDR Nickel
