This is a new addition I picked up recently.

It's quite a nice, full flan example but I paid about twice as much for it as most Edward I pennies cost.

Would anyone like to comment as to why?

I do not know enough to determine it, but I can guess it has something to do with the class or mint?

CIVITAS CESTRIE - City of Chester, so it's a less-than-common mint.

Yes - Chester is one of the scarcer mints. - only Exeter and Kingston upon Hull are rarer.
