Did the mint ever offer to make it right to those who thought they were being ripped off? What did you pay for it and what do you think it is worth? Hi Alan - I paid $10 for it, raw. As far as its value, I'm not too sure. I'm not really the best when it comes to grading. I looked around online and I've seen '62 Franklin proofs graded at PF-64/65 priced in the 15-$20 range. Report this Post to the Staff

It give you hope that some of the gouging for 2009 coins will stop. At the Baltimore coin show, as you walked in they were selling the latest quarters for almost double face and the pennies for eight times face. I had stopped at a bank on the way there and sold them for face! It made some dealers unhappy, but it is the new hobbyists who will buy and one day discover that spur of the moment deal was not so great a deal. Alan Report this Post to the Staff
