1943-S Wheat Cent With Different Looking Retained Cud

Sudz Pillar of the Community United States 1572 Posts	Posted 10/30/2018 7:33 pm I just found this and it is unusual looking in that the Retained Cud, instead of being raised, actually looks pushed-in or recessed (I hope my pics show this). You can see that the base of the bust has shifted downward. All this has caused a crack on the reverse. I have not found this particular error coin on COC. This is still considered a Retained Cud, right? It's very cool looking. Report this Post to the Staff

The reverse also shows a nice Die Crack and a huge Die Chip. When you send these pictures to JC Stevens, so he can list it, make sure to note the Die Crack and Die Chip as a die marker for this die.
