I really wanted a proof and uncirculated example of the gold $5, but I understood that one could only order one so I settled on the proof which I successfully ordered (after some machinations) at about 12:03 EST. I then went back in and ordered 3 of the 5 oz. silver dollars. Those went through about 7 minutes later. Came back about 2 hours later and looked at the uncirculated $5 coins and saw they were still available and began to wonder so I tried to order one and lo and behold it appeared to go through. I figure with my luck all of my orders will now be rejected for my trying to "game" the system.

I think you'll be fine as the HH limits refer to each offering; i.e. you can order one of each but not two of one and irrespective if you order the other gold coin or not.

I am debating whether or not to add the proof dollar to my collection. I only bought the uncirculated because I will have the proof half dollar from that set. I know, that proof is smaller and clad, which is why I am giving this a thought. Maybe I will sleep on it since it seems like I have time.

I logged on the US mint site about two minutes before noon. Shortly after noon I ordered an Apollo 11 proof silver dollar and a 5oz silver proof dollar. I had no problem or long wait except one refresh at checkout. I assume since the 5oz is already on back order that's a good sign it may be popular.

Looks like the mintages may have been too high on some of these as they're still plenty to go around.

Would really liked to have seen smaller mintage #s but oh well.

I forget who said this before but the proof finish is a good fit for the obverse (helmet) and the uncirculated is a good fit for the footprint side... so, naturally you would need one of each to get the full experience of this coin.

I was able to order mine without much issue. Refreshed at noon. Put the 1OZ proof and the Half dollar set in. Had my order placed at 12:04EST.

Yes, which is why I convinced myself that the proof half dollar and uncirculated dollar would satisfy me.

As it is now, I might even be able to wait to get them in hand before I change my mind on not getting the proof dollar.

I'm not a big modern commemorative guy, but I really love how they incorporated the curvature into the actual design of the obverse and reverse. And because "Space". I got the 1oz silver, 5oz silver and the Kennedy set. Couldn't quite bring myself to pick up the gold piece, but was very tempted. Can't wait to see these in-hand.

Got my shipping notification email. Last time I ordered something I opted for expedited since it was discounted and it took 2 days for them to ship. Go figure.

Didn't realize the back ordered puck (I'm assuming they are all on backorder) will show on your order as $0.00 until it ships. I guess I will be ending up with two for sure now. At least I have a couple months to decide if I want them both.

I guess you missed my activity during the Coin & Chronicles run, Liberty silver medals issues, EU and RP sets, etc.

This is my first commemorative since the 2015 March of Dimes (I had to get those silver dimes). I usually pass on the commemorative releases, but like said above, I got these because "space."

But I still hate coffee.
