Anyone else have trouble removing the $1 proof coin from the packaging.

Yep. I had to remove the piece holding the dollar coins from the case and push the capsule out from below.

I really like the contrast on the silver proof dollar. I think it's the nicest of the three small proofs. (I didn't get a saucer).

I'm not impressed by the "enhanced" reverse proof Kennedy. The devices seem like they should have been frosted, but weren't finished correctly. They would've looked better had they been just reverse proof like last year.

Mine arrived today. I haven't had much time to look closely at them, or get pictures.

Did anyone else's $5.00 gold come wrapped in paper, without styrofoam, and the coin is loose inside the holder? I called the mint, but they said they had none to replace it.
Do I need to get it graded to get it in a better holder? They are on backorder, but I thought there was a limited supply.

What do you mean by loose in the holder? Mine came in a capsule that fits tightly into the case which is in a box that is in a sleeve.

Also, I do believe that the backorder is only because they have not minted the full amount of coins and are currently out of stock of what they had in stock.

I was slightly disappointed as well. I was expecting to get "wowed" but didn't happen.

At the Long Beach coin show today, the mint has all Apollo products for sale. I was a bit surprised with all the back orders going on but they must have allocated some specifically for that show. For those of you still waiting for your saucers you will not be disappointed. I was expecting the uncirculated versions to have better detail on the footprint than the proofs but that wasn't the case. The proofs really take the cake on both sides.
