When I ordered my 5 oz the expected in stock date was 8/23. Keeps going farther back.

As noted, I got my shipment yesterday. My only complaint is how difficult it is to get the dollar capsule out. Maybe over time it will loosen up. Unlike the others, I really like the enhanced reverse proof Kennedy half dollar. It looks like what I really wanted the 2017 enhanced uncirculated to look like.

Quote: My only complaint is how difficult it is to get the dollar capsule out. I fought the one dollar coins out of their holders and added a ribbon like that used for the 1/2 dollars before returning the dollars to their holders.

"White said die life is averaging 1,500 strikes per obverse die and 750 per reverse, and each coin is struck three times." That's still surprising, but it's a far cry from the 100 coins per die that was stated in a previous article.

If I have to wait until October to get my saucers.... On the other hand, it spreads the cost of the program out over the year a little bit more.

Quote: How can anyone say they were disappointed? Because neither of mine look that nice. They seem to be less frosted. Overall, I'd say they look like poorly struck reverse proofs.

Just received my Apollo 11 half dollar set today. Very pleased with the coins and their designs for being so visually striking. My only issue is that the packaging doesn't have an image of the three Apollo 11 astronauts. Would have made for a nice commemoration of them as well as NASA, the space program, and President Kennedy.
I'm disappointed about the delay in shipping the 5-ounce pieces. I can only hope that through order cancellations and returns that the timetable will speed up. I remain patient though and can not wait to hold it in my hands.

Quote: 1 of 100,000, such a stellar coin. The mark on the jawbone is actually a dust spec on the packaging. Excellent! Quote: Because neither of mine look that nice. They seem to be less frosted.
