Quote: I hope I can be forgiven for not reading all 35 pages of this thread if this has already been answered, but has anyone found a magic method for getting the dollar coin out of the box? I have wrestled with these holders before, but this is a new level. It is so firmly stuck that I'm afraid whatever I do to get it out is going to damage the holder. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Pull the black part holding the capsule out of the clam-shell and push from the backside. When I put the capsule back into the hole, I put it in obverse side up (footprint) so that I can get it out with minimal effort.

^^^ I think that's your best bet. However, you're still likely to damage the black plastic insert at least a little bit...no real way around it.
They are indeed remarkably tight in there. Maybe the mint received too many complaints about coins escaping packaging in transit and tightened up the fit. Maybe.

Well that took just shy of 3 weeks, pretty much as expected. The 2/20 sales report indicated 94,119. Looks like there was a surge in buying the last couple of days as the sell out neared.
The 2/10 report also shows the Au $5 at 32,849 (prf + unc), up 916 for the week.
The 5 ozt saucer saw a DECLINE by -883 down to 62,715. Seems like some folks don't want to wait until Oct and are cancelling orders. Backorder status definitely seems to be hurting sales of this coin.

Now if the Mint keeps the Kennedy half as is I think, as they say in Boston, we have a WINNAH!

Foxwoods, They shipped today from Florida, I'll have them up here in Toronto by Thursday Morning. I shipped them down to Florida the same day they arrived from the mint. NGC Modern Grading tier as per their instructions.
