Cross-posted from the thread on coins of the kingdom of Poland. At the end of the 17th century, Friedrich August of Saxony was elected King of Poland. His coins bear the traditional Polish eagle, and Lithuanian rider, along with the arms of the Wettin house from Saxony. These reverses with three shields were typical of the 6 groschen coins of Poland in the 17th and 18th centuries
