Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 75475 Posts	Posted 12/03/2018 7:20 pm I found this in a mixed circulated roll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 75475 Posts	Posted 12/03/2018 8:22 pm Thank you PamG and Bate! Yes PamG, it is completely different than a Broadstrike. This was caused by the obverse die being out of alignment. The reverse die was perfectly centered. A Broadstruck coin is caused, when it is struck without it's collar in place. It will expand like a pancake without its collar, if it's a Centered Broadstrike. There's also another error called a Centered Broadstrike. The collar is supposed to hold the planchet in its place, if it's functioning correctly. http://www.error-ref.com/broadstrikes/ Errers and Varietys. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/03/2018 9:39 pm If you bought a bag of wheat cents, I've gone back through three times before I re-sold them when I started. 1200 cents I found one RPM 1956-D RPM-001. Went through them again and found two others I missed. Third time, I found nothing I missed. (But at that point I was only searching for RPMs) Report this Post to the Staff

I got a few rolls from my bank but, they don't seem to ever have too many rolls of pennies. They say they don't use them much anymore with banking almost all electronic. Report this Post to the Staff
