been right here, doing my thing every night, just haven't been finding much, or anything at all recently, therefore nothing much to talk about. maybe this 'fabulous economy' is finally hitting some people. maybe tossing change away is becoming a thing of the past.

it is still piling up, just very slowly. yah, there is a space of 11 days between the only two $1+ nights of the month. I've been somewhat absent. I'm way behind on my coin stuff. I have pictures to take and I've had no time or frame of mind for it lately. my friend- stacy- broke a bone in her foot and I've been tapped for nightly dog walking, ongoing since sunday, continuing into the foreseeable future. she has two big galoots, Woodrow (red collar) & Jackson:



haven't found any money yet, but I may not have enough doggie karma yet. that chore absorbs 1-2 hours each night.

one of my customers (and longtime close friend) fell wednesday and I have yet to get the full story & prognosis. another customer had recent surgery re: breast cancer & is undergoing some radiation. I was contacted by my brother in MI that mom fell (again) and cracked her pelvis. the hits just keep on comin'.

i wheeled into the parking lot of a burger place after midnight with just one stinkin' zincoln in my pocket when I spotted this neat cluster of shiny junk: three quarters and a nickel.

i guess the point of all of that was to just say my head is swamped. I'm not wishing for anymore input at the moment, especially some more nasty news. I'm in the middle of a landscaping project and a painting project at my washington street properties (two blocks away, where a pair of kitties are, very convenient... actually there are three kitties there now). I did painting prep today, made my $100. saturday i'll dive back into the landscaping project (next door to the painting project) and see if I can make another $100. that'd be swell.

tonight I picked a well-scattered $1.59 in change, including a pair of quarters from one of my ice machines:



eww.. I guess I didn't pause long enough for that pic, those coins are not completely in-focus... I was probably rushing it..

anyway, that's only the third $1+ night this month. metals prices have been depressed for weeks and weeks and it's making me depressed, too, and crabby. not finding much street stuff while metals prices are depressed also adds to my surliness.

i just want to sit here & babble, but the cat is waiting on me to post this and tend to him as per our nightly ritual...
