tonight I picked a well-scattered $1.22, but only on the front end of the route, the last half produced no coins. the first coin I found tonight was a 1976-D bicentennial quarter. so that's the third consecutive $1+ night and the fifth $1+ night of the month.

for the sixth time this month I scored $1+ on my nightly ride, picking a well-scattered $1.06, all coins. cycle 20 sits at $93. I have enough $$ to acquire a silver something. very soon i'll head to the pawn shop to see what I can find. friday was my birthday. I've made it to 59. my landlord gave me an egg salad sandwich, several tangerines, a banana and an apple. at my paint job on washington street I discovered that Amy (house owner) and I share the same birthday. she went out to get cupcakes for her bday party and got one for me, too: it's still in my fridge. i'll gobble that down sometime on saturday. I might have to nab some ice cream to go with it. i received happy bday texts from my brother in MI, a longtime friend in Deland, FL, and a longtime friend in Corvallis, OR. both of those friends previously lived here in KW.

thank you, D. for the 7th time this month I picked $1+, nabbing a well-scattered $1.49, including four quarters from my favorite ice machine: that was my last pick of the night. I also nabbed a 16.9oz bottle of Aquafina water along the way. been a while since I last found a bottle of water.

yeah! and this night ended exactly like last night: a 4-quarter-score was my last pick of the night, from the same ice machine (my favorite ice machine) as last night: so tonight's well-scattered $1.37 is the 8th $1+ night of the month and that makes three consecutive $1+ nights (Fri-Sat-Sun) for the second time this month. the last three-night-run: last weekend, Fri-Sat-Sun, curiously enough.

...now that I think about it, two consecutive nights of a four-quarter score from the same machine is a first.

Quote: belated Happy Birthday thanks, jbuck. last night I picked just ninety-five cents. it was all found in just one spot. the rest of the route yielded nothing but a bike ride. tonight, though, I picked $3.28, mostly due to my favorite ice machine's coin return providing twelve quarters: i love a nice pile of quarters. the quarter tube fills up quickly. I've picked $5 in quarters from that one machine the past several nights. the calendar tells me tuesday was the last day of florida lobster season, btw...
