Bonedigger,
I find it a little confusing that the draped half was so cheap. isn't $135 a big steal on that? I just don't get why the seller sold it so cheap!
Anyway great find!!

If anything, this particular variety is known for being tooled to enhance the hair details on VG to VF grades. That's the #1 thing I'd look for, but usually the seller will indicate this. Overall I thought it was a nice coin, and would have paid same for it. Please let us know if you like it when you get it!

I've been a busy boy this week. Enroute are: 1873 (AU) and 1911 (BU) Australian Sovereigns from HJB; 1797 Australian Netherlands Kronenthaler and 1787 Hungarian Half Thaler from TwoKopecki of this forum; and what seems to be a BU 1937 Australian Crown from ebay, which will be value for money if it makes gEF. Pics & stories to follow. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Did I mention - I got them all for less than $500 total?

Well, here it is. 13.45 grams and looks to be an Overton O-105.

1937 Buffalo nickel. Fine. I already had one, but this one was better, and didn't cost very much.

Bruce: I think I got the good price as a reward for being a steady customer. Yesterday's buys -- 2007 proof Statehood Quarters set. 2007 Silver Canadian Maple Leaf for my wife. Silver One Ounce Pig Australian Lunar Coin to keep my Lunar collection up to date.
