I was the only bidder on this group of small late Roman coins sold by an ebay dealer in Israel. I won the lot for $15. It attracted my attention because of the small coin in the middle of the top row.

It appeared to be a rare Eudocia CONCORDIA AVG AE-4. Eudocia was the wife of Theodosius II (402-450 AD). These crude little bronzes are listed as "Rarity 4" and I believe the coin is attributed as RIC, Vol. X, #428.

There is only one currently for sale on ebay and none on VCoins. Wildwinds has one example.

The lot arrived today and, after giving it an inspection, I do believe it is Eudocia. The reverse design depicts Eudocia seated with her arms over her chest. There is a star in the left reverse field, underneath the lighter dirt spot.

The coin looks to be nicely detailed for the type after comparing it to the few examples I have been able to find online.

Here is a link to a nice example on VCoins:

It sometimes pays to spend the hours sifting through the dredge. Congrats on a very scarce empress! I've gone after her gold whenever it comes up to auction, but the last seconds always say "Sit down and let the big boys play."

Perhaps I should start spending the weekly 2-3 hours again!

These lots come up all the time. It pays to take the time to sift through them. Very nice indeed.
