The Zincolns are made very cheap now. Too cheap.

They are even cheaper when you leave off the copper plating like this!! I had to repost the photos. I posted wrong the first time. Sorry

Two different coins picutured. The top one is a copper 1963 D. The bottom is a Zincoln 1998 D and will deteriorate. Zincolns were only from 1982 forward, and some 82s were copper.

Photos fixed now. @randy, almost certainly the copper plating was stripped off of this cent after it left the mint.
