Came across these two while CRH. I'm thinking a simple case of PMD, but I'm not 100% on that. Thought it better to share here and get your opinions.
It's not the typical damage you usually come across.

Your first instincts were correct. It's PSD.

The first one is coin wrapper damage and the second one is deliberate damage.

The 1944 has a lam issue above LIBERTY and below the date. IGWT is damage. The 1946 is all damage.

Looking at the 1944 again . . Coop suggested coin wrapper damage. And you can clearly see that on IGWT and on Lincoln's suit.
Spruett sees lam issue above liberty and below date.
I think he may be onto something?

On the 44 with the wrapper damage,the error is voided...anytime I find them with damage I'll spend them and let someone else get excited

I agree, to the extent that the coin has no real value. But still it's fun to find them and solicit opinions of the forum members and experts here.
It's all a learning experience . .
