Its normal. I think I am seeing things that's not there on this coin

Incuse marks (sunk into the coin) are 99% of the rim coin damage. A die crack is raised:

Note the die in the back:

Note the crack is incuse.
On the coin it will be raised, as the missing area on a die will leave a raised mark on the coins struck with that die.
