Hello,I am hoping to get an explanation as to what is going on in Lincolns Hair. I noticed this letter "E" just above his ear. I have looked at it in multiple different angles and light and it is no illusdion or shadowing. I have showed it to multiple people and asked what they see and they all see the "E". I have even compared it to multiple other Lincoln cents of the same year and not of the same year. I just can't explain this. Not to mention it is the exact same shape and size of the letter "E" in WE. I would like to know has anyone ever saw this before and if so do I have something rare here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

to CCF...the term you're looking for is called a "dropped letter" you can use the search box to find examples. However I'm not seeing it on your coin, I do see what might resemble an E, but not strong enough for me to call it a dropped letter......lets see what others say...have fun and good luck on this and future finds....
