Hi my name is Marta, I'm from Surfside Beach SC, but I'm originally from California. I found a newer quarter without a stamp on the back. It is the same thickness and size as a normal quarter. Any advice?

Tongue CCF

Picture is pretty small (cropping it would have enlarged it) but from
what I can tell it looks like it has been ground down. Not an error but damage.

to the CCF!

As noted, it looks like it's been damaged. A quarter should weigh 5.67 grams and they are 1.75 mm thick. If you can get the measurements from your coin I think you'll find that it's under weight and below the proper thickness because the clad layer has been ground down.
