I thought you may like to see another one,a bit smaller but a very nice rough nugget out of quartz. Please let me know if you want to see more.

O.K. so I went and managed @ 6gram silver and a 1934 Wheat cent but no gold. Tried hitting the creek with my MD. did not do any panning this trip. Think the creek has had 150 years of panning/sluicing so I may try the banks and higher next time. this area has produced fist sized nuggets in the past and the creek is subject to large flash floods at times moving huge trees and boulders. Wolf just a question and you don't have to answer it if you don't want to but has any one ever shown you how to read a creek or find a gold source,if not I have some information you may be interested in,It's just a thought mate. regards Harry

I've read a little about it but have never been shown. I know the gold likes to settle to bedrock etc but have not had hands-on instruction. WOLF

Just starting to plan my next trip this will be to the W.A. goldfields ,I know summers detecting isn't ideal for this part of the country but It's the only time I've got ,I'll have to update my detector and with the new Minelab GPX5000 just about to be released it will definitely be my next detector ,and the best part about this trip is I've tee-ed it up with my fossicking mates from Victoria so It's going to be a fantastic trip as I always enjoy there company . Regards to all Keen as mustard Harry
