1929 Buffalo Nickel For Grading

Very nice buff but not worth the money to have it graded.

I really like this Nickel ,I'm going with a little wear .
AU-58 .

In hand (10x), I don't see any wear. Luster appears intact. I know the pics aren't so clear. I feel it's a weak strike although I always struggle with the light wear/weak strike issues on these. I am primarily looking at the head and hump hair detail to make this determination. I don't see rub/wear on tail, hip, horn or ribbon, braid, knot.

Decent 1929. That's a year with lots of mismatched die pairings, and yours has a good match, MDS obverse and EMDS reverse. There has been fairly heavy die polishing to address the usual clash marks (second feather tip / buffalo's head and "BER" of LIBERTY / right rear leg most notably. The chin / EPU clash was polished on the obverse, but not the reverse. The strike is average.

I see light, but even wear on the high points, with disruption of the luster. This looks like a solid AU. I see it as AU-55, but there isn't any real difference in value between AU-55 and AU-58 for a 1929. I don't see any eye appeal concerns.

Middle and early mid die states, although I'd have to defer to @fortcollins on how he makes those determinations on these Buffalos.
