*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

Need info - this 1979-D cent exhibits different errors to the others that I have. The IN is a lot bigger - wereas the "U" in Trust exhibit an anamoly .The mintmark - is it filled or repunched . Wereas their is a die chip or Cud in between "I" & "B" of word Liberty .The Cuds website does not list a BIE error entry for 1979-D Cent .

Just a Late Die State coin with a broken mintmark punch issue. All of these from 1979 had this problem. No premium for this here.

In the I and B of "LIBERTY", I think it's just a Die Crack.

One more thing. A Cud is a type of major Die Break that only involves the rim and some parts of the fields. That's not what you have here. http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-ce...s-1970-1979/

Looks like die scratches. When they are next to devices or inside of devices, they will last a lot longer on those areas. In the open fields the flatten quickest. So if you are looking for a marker that may have faded, look next to the devices or inside the devices for them.
