I have found the Kansas "In God We rust" before but never one missing so many letters. Has anyone seen a variation this severe before?

Those letters are chiseled off. You can see the outline of where the letters used to be.

I would have never thought of that. Have you seen this before? I would think you would see vertical scratches from the edges of a chisel.

What do you think of this other one I found? Thanks!

Chiseled off... I don't know about that.(would need coin in hand)...I feel it might (probably) be a Greaser. And no,I have never seen a coin with that many letters filled.
